Good morning, Conway.

Last year, Morrilton and Conway County saw historic economic growth driven by a $1 billion expansion at the Arkansas Kraft Mill, investments in education, healthcare, retail, and major highway projects.

Leaders say future construction and tourism projects will spur ongoing local development.

Arkansas public school enrollment fell to its lowest level in 20 years with almost 9,000 fewer students this year, and Conway lost 3.7% of its students as more families use Education Freedom Accounts vouchers.

The drop may reduce funding for local schools.

The Conway Police Department recently presented one of its officers with a life-saving award.
