CULTURE NEWS

  • A free screening of 'The Voice of Hind Rajab,' a 2025 film blending documentary and dramatization by director Kaouther Ben Hania, will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. at CALS Ron Robinson Theater.  Arkansas Times

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Medical marijuana sales in Arkansas reached a record $291.1M in 2025—a $15M increase from 2024—with 36 dispensaries including Harvest in Conway reporting strong December sales, and taxes from these products raised $32.3M for food programs.  ABC7

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Parkview alum Henry Dorn, now a conductor at St. Olaf College, led a 7 p.m. concert at Conway High School on Feb. 2 with local students opening for the St. Olaf Band amid snowy travel delays, and today he is leading music workshops at Parkview and Little Rock Southwest.  Arkansas Times
  • Faulkner County students were recognized for academic success by universities in Tennessee and Texas last week.  Log Cabin Democrat
  • UCA College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting America at 250 Week from Feb. 9-12 with exhibits, performances, and events celebrating America's semiquincentennial. The event will offer community members a chance to explore history.  Log Cabin Democrat

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Arkansas Skatium will launch Sip N’ Skate on Thursdays starting Feb. 5—an adult-only skating night held from 6 to 11:30 p.m. at 1311 South Bowman Rd with a $5 fee that covers skate rental and a happy hour from 6 to 7 p.m. for guests 18 and up.  Arkansas Times
