ECONOMY NEWS

  • Oil is above $100 a barrel today because of the war in Iran, keeping gas prices high for Arkansans statewide. Drivers may face rising fuel costs as crude oil prices hold steady across the country.  THV 11

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Club America’s director said on Wednesday that Governor Sanders’ proclamation encouraging student clubs in Arkansas schools is symbolic and not legally binding, and will help any student denied club approval. He noted that club chapters statewide grew from 4% last year to 16%, including one in Conway.  ABC7

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Arkansas public television commissioners (4-1 vote) delayed the planned disaffiliation from PBS to allow time for supporters to raise funds for the $2.1 million annual dues. PBS remains on air through June while a future decision is set for the next meeting.  Arkansas Times
