- ➤ Chuy’s will open its sixth location in Conway at 600 S. Amity Road on Tuesday, March 25 — serving fresh Tex-Mex dishes and offering happy hour specials Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. The restaurant has partnered with Deliver Hope to support local youth and will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ABC7
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Lavender Library reopened on March 13 in Old Main Room 203 to offer free books, clothing lockers, computer access and a conference space to UCA students after it moved from Arkansas Hall. The library supports academic work and student meetings and is part of UCA's ongoing partnerships to promote inclusivity. The Echo
- ➤ UCA seniors Cooper Horton and Dylan Silverman-Barnes were honored with the Bear CLAWS award at the Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 28 for strong academic and extracurricular achievements. Horton, a double major in international studies and linguistics from Conway, and Silverman-Barnes, a dietetics major with multiple accolades, have shown leadership and dedication at UCA. The Echo
- ➤ At the UCA SGA meeting on March 17, Assistant VP Wendy Holbrook presented Bear Biographies set for April 8 from noon to 4 p.m. and detailed plans to install a $10,335 concrete ramp to improve the food pantry entrance. - ➤ Conway city council approved the transportation department’s plan on March 11 to rebuild the lower part of Nutters Chapel from Dave Ward to Salem. The project will add curbs, gutters, sidewalks and bike lanes, with work set to begin in 4-6 weeks after awarding the contract to A & B Dirt Movers for $1,510,029 and finish by the end of 2025.
