The laws also change how insurance payments are made and set new rules for professional practices.

On March 3, Governor Sanders signed Act 396 into law, letting Arkansans buy ivermectin without a prescription for human use.

Pharmacists worry the law will clash with federal rules because ivermectin is made as a prescription drug and may not have proper labels when sold—Act 396 will go into effect in June.
