EDUCATION NEWS

  • Longtime principal Nancy Rousseau was honored at Central High School’s graduation ceremony after news of her upcoming retirement, with community members recognizing her service. The ceremony celebrated her legacy as she prepares to step down.  THV 11

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Arkansas lawmakers heard a plan on Thursday at the Capitol to expand mental health and addiction services aimed at helping *2,500* homeless individuals statewide; local officials from Fort Smith urged applying for a federal planning grant to boost Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics.  THV 11
  • The city is planning to transform downtown alleyways into community gathering spaces to boost neighborly connections. Officials said the project will begin soon in the downtown area.  THV 11
