- ➤ Arkansas officials are reviewing flood response plans to prevent disasters like the deadly Texas flood that claimed more than 80 lives, including children at Camp Mystic. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas State Police Oversight Committee will study flood-prone areas such as the White, Black, and Cache Rivers—using enhanced cellphone alerts and more water sensors to speed emergency action.
