  • Today, as the government shutdown continues to affect local families, Salem and Wesley United Methodist Churches in Conway have temporarily adjusted their Sharing Fridge operations—helping to supply food to those in need.  Log Cabin Democrat

  • The University of Central Arkansas Public Appearances will present 'Cirque Dreams Holidaze' at Reynolds Performance Hall on November 21 at 7 p.m. The event promises a dazzling mix of circus-style acts to entertain community members – a festive celebration this season.  Log Cabin Democrat

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A teacher at Lisa Academy won the Milken Award (celebrated by the presence of Arkansas Education Secretary Jacob Oliva) as the school honored the educator's achievement.  THV 11

  • The University of Central Arkansas holds its annual Veterans Day Celebration today in McCastlain Hall Ballroom—where it honors U.S. military veterans with a Veterans Information Fair and a ceremony.  Log Cabin Democrat
  • Arkansas is fighting against pharmacy benefit managers in a legal battle that could change how prescription drugs are priced and sold in the state. A federal appeals court will decide if Act 624 — a law banning PBMs from owning pharmacies — takes effect January 1.  ABC7
