Comedian Kevin Nealon will perform at Reynolds Performance Hall (on the University of Central Arkansas campus) at 7 p.m. on Dec.
14 (local fans are encouraged to attend his tour stop in Conway).
The Hendrix College Choir and the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas will host the 2025 Candlelight Carol Service from Dec.
4—6 at 7:30 p.m. and on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. at Hendrix College.

Economists are monitoring the job market amid layoffs and a government shutdown.
Dr. Jeremy Horpedahl from the University of Central Arkansas said that younger men face rising unemployment — he estimated a 40-50% chance of a recession next year.

A local realtor warned buyers against a proposed 50 year mortgage during an online discussion comparing it to the common 30 year plan.
He cautioned that the longer period might bring added risks and urged a careful review of mortgage options.
