  • The 15th annual Gobble Turkey Trot will take place on Friday, November 28th and Bill Torrey from Rock City Running shared key details about the event including registration and the race route.  THV 11
  • The fifth annual So Southwest Christmas Parade will be held on December 6 and is expected to draw local families with festive holiday displays and activities.  THV 11
  • The Conway Police Department partnered with the University of Central Arkansas police and society class for the Share-A-Bear Collection Drive—announced Saturday to collect holiday toys for local families. The drive aims to support those in need during the holiday season.  Log Cabin Democrat

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Yesterday, Conway High School hosted a demonstration of a drone system from Texas that uses lights, sirens—and pepper spray to distract potential shooters.  THV 11

  • Arkansas State Police troopers are launching a new initiative to prepare communities with the essential steps to follow before an emergency arises—this effort will provide clear guidance to local residents.  THV 11

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Conway residents can try Melinda Mayo’s famous cornbread dressing recipe this Thanksgiving using simple ingredients like cornmeal mix, classic stuffing, and chicken broth.—The recipe calls for sautéing onions and celery in butter, mixing in eggs and spices, and baking in a casserole dish until set.  ABC7

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ethan Dietz, a basketball player from Vilonia High who played for Connors State, died on November 25 after sustaining an injury in a game on November 22 — he was taken to the hospital but could not recover from his injuries.  ABC7
  • The Razorbacks suffered a 52-37 loss to Arch Manning’s Texas Longhorns on November 25 — quarterback Taylen Green was benched in favor of backup KJ Jackson, who passed for 206 yards and a touchdown. Rumors suggest the team may name a new head coach soon.  ABC7
