If you're a Wampus Cats fan, circle . Conway clinched its first conference championship since 2014 by beating Little Rock Christian on Friday. North Little Rock's 21-0 win over Bryant sealed it, and Conway now has home-field advantage throughout the Class 7A state playoffs.

It wasn't pretty. Coach Buck James said the Warriors "outcoached us and outplayed us." Conway didn't seal it until Dylan Mabry's 25-yard touchdown run with 4:42 left, and Jackson Braden intercepted Haden Hall 21 seconds later.

Mark Chesnutt has had quite a few comebacks: back surgery and alcoholism in 2021, then emergency quadruple bypass surgery in June 2024 after a Texas show. The CMA Award winner is now bringing his story and his songs to Conway. That's a good one to hear in person.
